Hi, my name’s Rachel and my dad, Alan, has been here at Eagles Mount now for seven weeks.
What made you think Eagles Mount Care Home was the right place for your Father?
When I was looking for care for Dad, it was really difficult. I didn’t know where to start, but Eagles Mount was recommended to me, and so I came here for a viewing. The nice thing was the welcome that I received when I walked in the door. The fact that the questions I had were answered really easily, there was no pressure, and I was able to walk round and talk to any member of staff I wanted to and ask any question and it just made me feel that it was a nice place.
How do you find the standard of care your Father is receiving at Eagles Mount Care Home?
Yeah, really good actually. I think the care levels for Dad at his level of need at the moment are great. He’s settled in really well, and it’s nice that the family and friends can come and visit whenever we like and see Dad whenever that is, whether he’s in the middle of eating a meal or whether he’s just sitting in his room doing his colouring.
What would you say to someone looking to come to Eagles Mount Care Home?
I think you’ve just got to go and explore the areas that you think you might need. This works for us in terms of location as a family. This is the town that Dad was living in, and his friends can still get here and the family can visit. That’s really important. It’s in a great location. The views out the windows are fabulous, and I know my dad appreciates that. The ease of access for us for parking is good, and the ability to be able to come at any point, at any time that we want to see him is just brilliant.
Would you recommend Eagles Mount Care Home?
I’d recommend Eagles Mount to somebody looking for a care facility in the area. It’s got a great location, the staff are lovely—all of them—it doesn’t matter what role they’re in, they’re all very helpful, very personable. They chat to the residents and keep them involved in what’s going on, and I think that is lovely
