How Home for Life Works

Having spent time organising funding for care, you are acutely aware of their financial situation, which can cause worry for the future. But when your loved one is settling into a new care home, the last thing you want to be focusing on is what will happen if all the money is used up.

Our Home For Life guarantee is an important part of the service we offer because it allows you to embrace the present and future, allowing both you and your loved one to make the most of the transition into our care home.

So how does it work?

  1. Your loved one moves in as a private paying resident – we arrange payments with you.
  2. If their funds run out after three years with us, we will negotiate with the local council to secure funding for their care.
  3. As long as the council contributes a minimum of £1,200 per week, your loved one can remain within the LuxuryCare group.
  4. We might recommend your loved one transfer to another one of our care homes or move into a new room to ensure their new funds cover their care with us.

Who is Eligible?

While we would love to offer this to everyone, there are certain criteria that need to be met to ensure everyone receives the quality care they deserve.

To qualify for this scheme, you must:

  • Join us as a private-pay resident
  • Have enough money to cover at least three years of our care fees
  • The local council must agree to contribute a minimum of £1,200 per week once private funds have depleted.

Following this criteria means this offer is sustainable, and we are able to help those who are truly settled into life at LuxuryCare.
